The SCTE Training Courses.

Introduction

The SCTE Training Courses have been updated and revised to meet the needs of Cable Telecommunications in the 21st Century. Suitable for both Home Study and Instructor-led use, they represent the best and most comprehensive training courses available currently at a modest cost.

There are three levels of these progressive courses, Installation Technician, Service and Maintenance Technician, and Network Technician. They are designed to follow in sequence, steadily building up knowledge in a logical manner.

And now, the SCTE is pleased to announce that its Training Courses for technicians have been accredited by e.skills UK as providing the underpinning knowledge for a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Levels 2 & 3 for all LINKS and CATV units.

The SCTE and UKONLINETRAINING have concluded an agreement whereby the SCTE Training courses will be made available to the on-line training organisation based at Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Students will be able to complete their assessment papers and have immediate access to their results on-line. As part of the agreement, SCTE students will also be able to access the on-line facility at www.uktrainingonline.com

  Module 1, Installation Technician.

This is an introductory course, and can be regarded as self-contained if the student wishes to go no further. It is also the first module of the overall progressive course. At the end of the module the student is assessed by an examination and a minimum 60% mark is required for a pass. The SCTE "Certificate of Competence" is granted for a pass in this module.
