A Night To Remember

SCTE members enjoyed an action-packed networking trip with the SCTE’s Dinner and Dance Riverboat Evening on 12 July 2008. They spent the evening cruising along the River Thames in London, eating and drinking, whilst enjoying live entertainment (a band and dancing) late into the night. A welcome-aboard drink and four-course meal for participants were included.

The evening was hallmarked with a ‘Hawaiian night’ theme and SCTE staff put on some typically Hawaiian entertainment for its members. This included limbo dancing, flowered shirts, garlands, straw hats and a variety of fancy dress accessories to illustrate the theme….

Members enthusiastically entered into the spirit by participating in limbo dancing and congas, whilst enjoying the historic waterside landmarks of London. The cruise set sail at Westminster Pier and continued down to the Thames Barrier and beyond. It then returned, to head past the London Eye and the majestic Palace of Westminster, before docking back at Westminster Pier.
