The SCTE Golf Day, 2006



4th SCTE Golf Day, 2006. This years SCTE Golf day, organized by Frank Summerfield of Harmonic, was yet another great event with the weather gods smiling favourably on us for what proved to be the hottest day of the year. The event was held on 4^th May at Frank’s home course at Wokefield Park Golf Club in Berkshire. This year we had 24 players taking part with teams entered by the Harmonic, Teleste, TVC, Corning/Anixter and Scientific Atlanta.		The groaning trophy table.

The Stableford winning SA team. The second placed TVC team.	Stableford Winners. Competition was fierce throughout the day with some outstanding performances; the Team Stableford competition was won by Scientific Atlanta with TVC coming a close second. The individual Stableford prize went to Gordon MacLean with Jonathan Rigby as runner-up and a wooden spoon to Mathew Clayton. Gordon McLean, winner of the indivdual Stableford trophy.

Textbook driving	Dinner & Prizegiving The day was rounded off with a three-course dinner in the clubhouse with trophies presented by the organizer Frank Summerfield & SCTE President Roger Blakeway. In addition to the superb trophies organized by Beverley there were a host of other prizes ranging from golf balls, caps, binoculars and champagne kindly donated by the sponsors.

Future Events The great weather and pleasant surrounding contributed to what everyone agreed was a great days golf. As always we are already thinking about next years event and possibly a ‘track day’ later this year.
