SCTE Technological Innovation Awards
UPDATE: The submission deadline has been moved until the end of January 2010.
The SCTE (Society for Broadband Professionals) is pleased to announce that its prestigious 2010 Awards for Technological Innovation will be presented at its Gala Dinner to be held on Saturday 24 April 2010 at the unique venue of Lincoln's Inn Great Hall in London.
Traditionally, the SCTE Technological Innovation Awards have only been awarded to Patron Members of the Society but, as a result of the exceptional interest raised, it has been decided to open the awards to the whole Broadband Industry. Nominations are now, therefore, being sought for the 2010 SCTE Technological Innovation Awards.
The awards are for technological innovation in the broadband arena and may be for a product, system or concept. The item nominated must have been introduced into the marketplace between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2009.
Awards will be given in three separate categories:
- Best broadband network transmission solution
- Best CPE solution
- Best digital processing solution.
In addition, the best overall submission will receive the:
- SCTE 2010 Technological Innovation of the Year Award.
Recent winners of the Technological Innovation of the Year Award are Harmonic Inc for its NSG 9000 Universal EdgeQAM product (2008) and Ineoquest Technologies Inc for its VeriFrameTM product (2009).
You can download the following nomination forms:
- SCTE Annual Achievement Awards (MS Word format, 3MB)

Entries, accompanied by the nominal entry fee of £100, must reach the SCTE no later than the end of January 2010. Judging will be by an independent panel of industry experts and shortlisted entries will be announced in February 2010.
There are also several sponsorship opportunities.
