The SCTE Annual Dinner, 2007

2007 Dinner and Awards Saturday, 28th April

For 2007, the SCTE has chosen the New Palace of Westminster – the correct name for the Houses of Parliament - in London as the venue for our 2007 Gala Dinner. The Palace stands on a historic riverside site which links it with the origins of Parliament and the ancient palace of the Norman Kings.

No other Parliament building in the world is more instantly recognisable than the New Palace of Westminster standing majestically on the banks of the River Thames. It is impossible to walk through its corridors or dine in its imposing refreshment rooms without a deep sense of awe.

A unique venue and an incredibly special place …. so, please join us for a memorable evening.

The evening will encompass a tour of both Houses by official Westminster Tour Guides, a Champagne Reception in the Terrace Pavilion overlooking the River Thames, a sumptuous 4-course banquet with wine and liqueurs in the Members Dining Room, a souvenir gift for every attendee and the presentation of the Society Awards.

It has all the hallmarks of being another fantastic SCTE evening and one not to be missed.

Full details of the dinner will be circulated to members in the next few months but bookings are being accepted immediately. In order to avoid disappointment, tickets are now available at £65 + VAT per person.

The 2007 SCTE Awards

Following the re-introduction of the SCTE annual achievement awards at the 2006 dinner the 2007 Awards will be presented at the Annual Dinner to be held in the House of Commons on 28^th April, 2007.

The Three Awards

The 2007 Awards are in the following categories:-

(i) Technical Product of the Year.
(ii) Technician of the Year (not necessarily an SCTE Member).
(iii) SCTE Member of the Year.

Presentation of Awards

the 2007 Awards will be presented at the Annual Dinner in the House of Commons on 28^th April and the winners plus their partners will, of course, be the Society's guests at this prestigious event so this is certainly a prize worth winning.
