SCTE Announces Industry Award Shortlists

The Society for Broadband Professionals (SCTE) has just announced the shortlists for its prestigious 2010 Awards for Technological Innovation. The category and overall winners will be announced during its 17th annual Gala Awards Dinner at Lincolns Inn in London on Saturday 24 April 2010 to honour achievement in the industry.

The awards, open to the entire broadband industry, are for technological innovation in the broadband arena and may be for a product, system or concept (introduced into the marketplace between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2009). The shortlisted companies/products in the three separate award categories are:

The 2009 award for Technology Innovation of the Year went to IneoQuest for its VeriFrame product. The annual SCTE Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony is a milestone event in the broadband industry.  Since 1993, it has brought together major players from the vendor and operator sides of the industry in a variety of unique environments. In addition to the Technological Innovation Awards, the Society also presents awards for ‘Member of the Year’ and ‘Technician of the Year’ as well as its premier ‘Tom Hall Award’ for outstanding services to the broadband industry.  Honorary Fellowships are also conveyed when appropriate.
